On Tuesday, Governor Andrew Cuomo signed for firearm and mental health regulations due to the massacre that was the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting. The law limits the number of bullets and more strongly enforces rules that protect the mentally ill, which includes to report any harmful behavior seen. After two days of voting in the state Legislature, Cuomo signed the law around 5 p.m. before he announced to reporters that speed had been required to avoid a rush on the gun market.
